About X the Game

Played in many ways — from casual social play to structured team-building, in person or online — X the Game suits players of all ages and backgrounds. As the first true “playification platform,” the ∞ Game reflects the Creator's Game and its living web of life: an infinitely eXpanding play of consciousness.

It now spans a physical card and board game, an augmented-reality layer, a “Coach in your Pocket” AI app, an online social app, the immersive metaVRTse, and the mX Timecapsule — a Y2K-to-Y3K bridge to “build a better future now.”

The game began in 1981 as a card-based transformation tool created by Jai and Shanti Hudes. Its structure is deceptively simple: someone names a real challenge, a card is drawn, the group explores how the image reframes the problem, and everyone closes with a commitment to a concrete next step. That core mechanic has never changed. What has grown, over four decades, is everything built around it — from a live facilitation tool played in classrooms and boardrooms into a transformation engine with its own multi-year dataset and an intelligence layer.

  1. 1981 — The original “All’s Clear Game” transformation-play vision

Jai and Shanti Hudes create the game as a live, facilitated personal-growth “playshop,” eXpanding it through intensive R&D over decades — played with wellness clients, in classrooms, wellness centres, retreats, and corporate and community settings. Cards are never treated as answers, but as disruptor catalysts: they interrupt habitual thinking, spark creativity, and inspire novel perspectives on any problem or “challenge.”

  2. 2000 — The mX Millennial TTimecapsule launches

A community-wide Game system is deployed in Los Gatos, California as a Y2K-to-Y3K Timecapsule. This “Snapshot of Los Gatos” — and its “Count the Cats” contest — was one of the internet’s first community-wide projects, an archive of content still available on the Wayback Machine.

  3. 2006 — eXperience Technologies is formed

Seed funding is raised through IBI-Ceospace to produce the first public release edition, distributed to Players, Ambassadors and Creators around the world. First-generation web game and mobile app are built, and sessions begin to be recorded as “Scribe” game-play — hundreds of audio and video recordings capturing player intentions, challenges and relationships through the game’s synchronicity engine, delivering clarity and direction.

  4. 2020 — PrecariUs Times is born

Out of the ashes of the Plandemic “Covid Daze,” Karen and Jai co-create PrecariUs Times — a personal and collective expression carrying Karen’s art, book and “Cosmic Coopoly” gameboard and metaverse world. Built as a template for any artist, author, musician or Creator, the “retroCoopoly” gameboard and User Innerface is designed for Calgary, Canada as a model for any community within the 2020–30 Galactic-Glocal Xperience deck and Coopoly Game World — an update and upgrade to the mX TTimecapsule.

  5. Today — A transformation engine

The Game’s recorded archive is now understood as a latent novelty dataset — a multi-year record of how people generate, evaluate and refine new ideas under structured perturbation. AIIA (Augmenting Intelligence and Internal Algorithms) acts as an interactive referee and scorekeeper, awarding energy credits for meaningful connections and powering immersive environments through “Portals of X” and Reality-Virtuality Spheres.

  6. Next — nooEarth & beyond

A time-tested nooEarth blueprint carries XtheGame.World into education, community, business and wellness — framing play as an antidote to AI model collapse as we work to actualize the founding goal: “to make peace mass marketable and commercially viable.”

The relaunch

After four decades of continuous play, X the Game is being relaunched for a wider world. The mechanic that has quietly transformed classrooms, boardrooms and community circles since 1981 is being rebuilt as an open platform — a physical deck, a companion app, immersive digital environments, and the intelligence layer that turns every session into shared, searchable insight.

This is a rebuild in the open. A small founding team is carrying the relaunch forward, and it is deliberately unfinished — there is room for facilitators, builders, researchers, artists and partners who want to help shape what comes next.

The community

Everyone starts as a Player. From there, each stage grows out of the one before — until the game stops being something you do and becomes something you live, as a PAC.

The online game is free to play, any time — try it now. This journey — from Player through to PAC — is what unfolds once you join the cause as a member on Patreon.

  1. Player

    Free

How everyone starts. Pick up the deck, join a session, work a real challenge, and earn energy for the connections you make.

  2. Ambassador

Grow from Player. Get certified to run your own sessions and carry the game into new groups, classrooms and organisations.

  3. Creator

Grow from Ambassador. Build on the platform — new decks, regional portals and digital environments — shaping what the game becomes.

  4. PAC

Where it turns infinite. Player, Ambassador and Creator stop being stages you pass through and become a lifelong ritual — something you keep doing because you love it, not a one-off.
